Richard (Rick) A. Yanna, age 75, of Boscobel, WI and formerly of Lancaster, WI passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at the William S. Middleton Veterans Hospital in Madison, WI after a short battle with cancer. He was born June 12, 1948 in Platteville, WI to Leo and Shirley (Timmens) Yanna. After serving in the US Army and being stationed in Germany, he married Kathleen Lehmann and had their son, Jason. They later divorced. He married Betty Fischer on October 10, 1981 and they had a daughter, Tami. Betty and Rick divorced in 1999, but remained friends. He married Debby Stuart on March 19, 2004 in Lancaster, WI and they resided in Boscobel, WI. Through this union, he gained his stepchildren Marlana and Carl. Rick loved to fish and could outfish anyone. He also enjoyed morel mushroom hunting, lawn mowing, gardening, and his word search books. He was a small man with a big heart. He is survived by his wife Debby Yanna of Boscobel, WI. His children Jason Yanna of Ohio, Tami Yanna of Lancaster, WI, Marlana (Timothy) Tennant of Blue River, WI, and Carl (Amanda) VanDenBerg of Boscobel, WI; 20 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, a sister, Jackie (Larry) Richardson of Galena, IL; a brother, Brian (Betty Margan) Yanna of Rewey, WI. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Terry Yanna and Dennis (Sam) Yanna; and his two cocker spaniels, Stretch and Dudley. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
