Ruth L. Brown

Ruth L. Brown, age 77 of Boscobel, passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, February 8, 2026. She was born on April 22, 1948 to the late Jay and Marie Patten and grew up in Boscobel. Ruth married Greg Brown in 1992 at the Boscobel UCC church and were blessed with 33 years together. She proudly worked at the Boscobel High School for 35 years before her retirement. Ruth was truly dedicated to her job and loved working at the school. She enjoyed reading and watching any kind of football, especially the Green Bay Packers. Ruth was a very sweet person who would help anyone in need and cared more than people knew. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

Ruth is survived by her husband Greg Brown of Boscobel; children Kristina (Tom) Fisher of Janesville, Josh Badke of Janesville, and Trapper (Mindy) Brown of Boscobel; 10 grandchildren, 6 sisters, 4 brothers; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and aunt Erika Brechler.

A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held at the Kendall Funeral Service, 209 Mary Street, Boscobel on Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established. Online condolences can be offered at www.kendallfuneralservice.com.
